Tin Hau Festival in Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island

Date: the 4th month of the lunar year



Tin Hau Festival in Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island is a traditional ritual in Sok Kwu Wan, praying for favorable weather and maritime safety. During the festival, believers would place tributes outside bamboo theatres to worship Tin Hau (patron of fishermen). The whole festival is filled with strong local cultural characteristics.
