Hau Wong Temple

Rated Grade II historic building in 2010, the Hau Wong Temple in Sha Tsui Tau, Tung Chung is dedicated to Yeung Hau Wong, a legendary figure of the Southern Song Dynasty. The temple houses an ancient bell inscribed with the characters “the 30th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty” (1765), attesting to the temple’s long history. Visitors can experience the strong religious tradition and fishing village culture here.
