Leather Factory (Secret Garden)

Peng Chau Wing On Street, Peng Chau, Islands District

The Leather Factory (also known as “My Secret Garden”) is tucked midway down Peng Chau Wing On Street. Built in the early 1930s, the old factory lay abandoned for decades before being rated Grade 3 historic building in 2010. Following meticulous revitalisation by local residents, the premises has been transformed into a vibrant art space: “My Secret Garden”. Its exterior walls are adorned with creative graffiti; while the interior is crafted with unique decorations made from reclaimed materials like chairs, glass bottles and tyres, creating distinctive photo-taking spots throughout. Walking from Peng Chau Wing On Street into the secret garden, you will find yourself slowing down your pace before the unique artwork to savour the island’s history and human touch.
